Sony’s PSVR may go all wireless in the future, promises to go cheaper

After Xbox started blabbering about their Xbox Scorpio, it’s more likely that Sony is looking into a different direction by actively working on their exclusive VR headset, the PSVR. The PSVR is set to release on 13th October 2016 for a price tag of $399. The PlayStation VR is more likely a charm for Sony to efficiently promote their exclusive content. That is also the reason for the more powerful Playstation Neo to exist.

According to an interview with Sony’s Executive, Mr. Masayasu Ito, Sony is planning to continuously improve the performance on the PlayStation VR while continuously slapping a low price tag. The executive also mentioned about Playstation VR going all out wireless.

According to the executive, the Executive claims that going wireless with their VR isn’t possible with current technologies but they are willing to make their PlayStation VR Headset go wireless.

Unknown Adaptor Spotted

We have heard rumors earlier of a mysterious wireless device associated with the Playstation before. However, according to rumors, it seems like that adaptor may be related to the PSVR. The Wireless adaptor will use a 5GHz network instead of the traditional 2.4GHz.

According to these statements by Mr. Masayasu Ito, we are assured that Sony is continuously working on improving their VR headset in the near future.
