Just two months after announcing the arrival of iOS 10 this fall at the 2016 Worldwide Developers Conference, Apple is now rolling out the sixth beta of its upcoming mobile operating system. Just last week, the Cupertino-headquartered tech company distributed the iOS 10 beta 5 to developers and beta testers for evaluation, so releasing the sixth beta today comes as a surprise.
The iOS 10 beta 6, which is actually iOS beta 5 for public non-developer users that are part of the Apple Software Beta Program, gives developers access to a more stable operating system, since this one comes with fixes for a number of bugs present in the previous releases. For example, the bug that was causing the sticker pack apps to be blank has been repaired, so developers can now load and view the sticker packs. In addition, MacRumors has learned that the bug affecting iPad docks has been remedied as well.
The newly released iOS 10 dev beta also brings an improvement to Siri. In the previous betas, Siri was found to respond inappropriately to requests concerning removed apps. With iOS 10 beta 6, Siri is now capable of offering appropriate responses to developers. Since this is already the sixth beta, it’s a given that only minor improvements come along with it because Apple has been tweaking the iOS 10 with the help of developers and beta testers ever since beta testing for the operating system started.

The iOS 10 beta 6 comes with all the goodies previous betas presented, such as the 3D Touch notifications on the new lock screen, a new widgets screen and an overhauled Messages app which now has support for background animations, predictive emojis, handwritten notes, Digital Touch and Tapback replies. It can also be noted that the fifth developer beta came with a new lock sound and major bug fixes.
According to 9To5Mac, iOS 10 will also arrive with a redesigned News app and a revamped Music app, along with the first Home app for HomeKit. The site has also found out that a new AirPlay icon, a new Home app wallpaper and widget UI enhancements have been added to the mobile OS.
Developers and non-developers who have enrolled in the Apple software Beta Program can download the iOS 10 beta 6 from the developer site or as an over-the-air update, as per BGR. With the speed of Apple’s beta releases, it appears that the tech company is dead serious in launching a new iOS in time for the debut of its new devices this September.
