How to install Albert quick launcher in Ubuntu or Linux Mint Systems. Albert quick launcher can be installed in Ubuntu 14.10, Ubuntu 14.04 or Linux Mint.

Albert is a lightweight and quick launcher for Linux systems. It can quickly launch applications, open files or perform web searches. It can be used with almost all kinds of Desktop Environments – Xfce, LXDE, LXQt, Cinnamon, Unity (if you don’t like the Dash) and so on.

You can install the Albert quick launcher in Ubuntu (15.04, 14.10 or 14.04) or Linux Mint (17.1 or 17) and derivatives, using the WebUpd8 PPA. Open Terminal and run the following commands:

linux-code”>sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nilarimogard/webupd8
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install albert
