Samsung is terminating the Galaxy Beta Program for its flagship handset, the Galaxy S7, and its curved variant, the S7 edge. The South Korea giant confirmed this late this week, saying that it is the end of the road for the program and that no further beta updates will be released.

Pénteken, Samsung released an official notice to customers who have enrolled in the Galaxy Beta Program. Apple’s biggest rival said that as of Dec. 30, the program for the S7 and S7 edge is no more. The company thanked those who joined the program because they showed interest and affection toward the preparation for the official version of the Nougat update.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Beta Program for the S7 and S7 edge back in early November. In the wake of the Galaxy Beta Program’s conclusion, support documentation for the two devices have been updated to feature the OS changes that are coming to the handsets via the new update. The new PDF manuals of the S7 and S7 edge already contain screenshots that showcase the UI alterations. There is also a noticeable update on the lockscreen notifications, mint GSM Arena.

Közben, Samsung is already preparing for the release of its upcoming flagship smartphone. Mint previously reported, Samsung is launching the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus in a few months. The former is rumored to sport a 5.1-inch display, while the latter is believed to launch with a 6.2-inch screen. There is also word about Samsung finally ditching the headphone jack to ensure the thinner build of its upcoming handsets.
