Apple is celebrating the 10th year anniversary of its iPhone line this Monday. Incidentally, the Cupertino giant has released a new beta software ahead of the release of an official update for its smartphone and tablet series.
Σύμφωνα με MacRumors, Apple is seeding the third beta build of the upcoming iOS 10.2.1 software update to developers. The release comes almost a month since the company launched iOS 10.2.1 βήτα 2. Though the release notes are still void of specific details, the new beta is expected to bring only minor changes to the table.
The new beta software appears to be a minor update, so one could only expect a few bug fixes and performance enhancements to come with it. Just like the previous pre-release betas, this one may not have new features to flaunt to developers.
Το iOS 10.2.1 βήτα 3 software has a build code of 14D23. Only registered Apple developers can obtain this beta version from the Apple Developer Center. Another way of downloading it is over-the-air provided that the iPhone one is using has been configured for developer beta testing.
Similar to the other beta software releases this week, the iOS 10.2.1 βήτα 3 is also described to provide “stability, compatibility and security” to iOS-running devices. This is because the new betas focus mainly on maintenance, as pointed out by AppleInsider.
The launch of the new iOS 10.2.1 beta falls on the same day Apple is celebrating the 10th year anniversary of its iPhone smartphone. The late Apple CEO Steve Jobs announced the first iPhone at the Macworld convention on Jan. 9, 2007 — five months prior its official release to the market on June 29, 2007.
As of late, Apple is manufacturing and selling the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Συν models. Ωστόσο, rumors of a major redesign for the 10th anniversary iPhone are already widespread ahead of the big announcement this fall.
